There's definitely a lot less of them these days. Used to get loads on front of car after a long journey, these days there's barely any.

The planet and life in general are fine, and will be for a loooooong time. It's lifeforms like us that has cause for concern.

The planet won't even scratch its arse for all we do, and life in general has survived far worse than us on numerous occasions.

I think as resources diminish, war will be inevitable, and it will be a wholesale nuclear war - no one will stick to any rules or agreements. THAT is what will ultimately kill us all, as we fight over scraps that will never be enough to both keep people alive, and regenerate all that has been lost. If any insects or animals survive, then good luck to them. We almost certainly will not.

This is, of course, if the melted methane hydrates have not all rendered us comatose in much nearer future.

I'm not sure anything can be done - there are too many of us, busy eating, shitting, procreating and consuming resources, and too few of us want to do - or can actually do anything - about it.

ag ag ag you guys kill me...

Riddle, I gave up actually doing it years ago and been working in FE colleges past 5 years supporting and assessing learners. Way too old to be on the shop floor these days, I'd look like one of the Rolling Stones trying to be cool still.
I can't say what it is yet.

Insects have survived upto 5 major ice ages in Earths history.

Yet climate change this time around is going to kill them all..

Brenty good luck with the career change, the thing with hairdressing is the skills stay with you like most trades and you can always do mobilng to supplement your income. Being the nosy type was wondering what type of industry you will be crossing over to?

Re: Insect extinction
If I told you I'd have to kill you. Got a great idea but need to act fast. I was self employed all my life until the last 5 years where I've worked in FE. Seen enough of FE and hair now though and if it comes off will be working for myself again.
